8 Helpful Features On Our New Website
Here at Sterling Homes, we’re dedicated to making your new home search as easy as possible. That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of our brand-new Sterling website, packed with features that’ll make shopping for your perfect home much more enjoyable.
Let’s take a look at eight of the new features our website has to offer.
Floor Plan Visualizer
Found on each of our home model pages, the Floor Plan Visualizer is a great way to get an idea of how a particular floor plan will look.
You have plenty of options here: you can look at floor plan additions like adding a fireplace or a kitchen package to the main level or alternate floor plan layouts. Try adding an enclosed walk-in closet or a fourth bedroom! In applicable models, you can also check out finished basement options or add an entire legal suite.
You also have the ability to place furniture! Simply select the room layout you’re interested in, choose your preferred furniture (which you can also rotate within the space), and voila! Get a full picture of what your new home could look like.
And yes, you can see this tool on our Quick Possession pages. However, it’s important to note that because the layouts are already set for these homes you won’t be able to edit them. You can still play with furniture options though!
There are some other great tools, including a measurement tool and a text tool to add your own notes to the floor plan you’re working on. We recommend going full screen with this one to make it easier to see all of your options.
Guaranteed Possession
Speaking of our Quick Possession homes, we now offer a guaranteed possession date on all of our Quick Possession models. This shows the date when you’ll be able to take possession of your home, GUARANTEED. When you buy from us, you’ll never have to worry about second-guessing your moving dates!
Colourboard Visualizer
Have you ever seen a floor plan you loved but couldn’t imagine what it would look like in real life, with the finishes and colours you would pick? Traditionally, most home builders provide you with a sample physical board to see finishing options, but these boards tend to only show a tiny piece of each material and makes its difficult to invision in a home. We wanted to give homeowners the ability to better visualize our EVOLVE colourboards, hence, our brand new colourboard visualizers!
Under the floor plan section of a model page, you’ll find our Colourboard Visualizer tool. Now you can simply select any of our home model plans or Quick Possession homes from the available menu. Then choose one of the Evolve colourboard options from the colourboard menu. From there, you’ll get a complete image with those finishes! We’re big fans of both “Miami Moonlight” and “London Fog”.
Recently Viewed
You now have the option to check over your recently viewed homes, as well as the opportunity to compare them to other ones you’ve viewed. This is a perfect way to keep track of what you liked about each home and make an informed decision as you look around.

Payment Calculator
All of our Quick Possession pages now feature a handy payment calculator. This means you can get a pretty clear idea of what your monthly payments might look like. All you need to do is enter in the purchase price, your down payment, the interest rate and the amortization period, and you’re good to go!
Homeowner Page
We’re dedicated to being there for you throughout the whole homebuying process (and even afterwards), so we’ve added a Homeowner Page to our website. From here, you can see your warranty information and make claims, find landscaping requirements and report lot damage.
You can also check out our referral program (where you could earn up to $2,000 by recommending Sterling Homes to a friend!) and access the myHOME client portal, where you can see the progress of your custom home. The my HOME portal is also where you will find all the relevant documents for your purchase and receive video updates on your home from your sales representative.
Plenty of Other Resources
We’ve also added plenty of other extra resources to our new site, including a Homebuyer’s Guide, a new FAQ section, an updated Sterling Blog and much more, so you can be sure you’re getting all the latest up-to-date information you need before you make your final decision.
