Home Model Feature: The Siren
Comfort, beauty and efficiency come together in our latest model – The Siren – packs a pretty big punch for your money. It’s a three-bedroom, two-storey home with almost 1,200 square feet. That sounds small compared to some larger models, but it’s the perfect size for retired couples or families just starting out. Even better is the price tag. Starting at just $289,900, this is by far our most affordable single-family home.
Lovely Laned Home
The Siren is one of our laned homes, which means that it doesn’t have an attached garage in the front. Many of our buyers prefer this style because of the picture-perfect look it has. If you’ve been seeking out a home with a lot of curb appeal, this may be the right home for you.
There’s a parking pad set at the back of the home for you to park, and you have the option of adding a two-car garage that accesses a back lane. The choice is yours, and most people find that these options are sufficient for their needs.
Functional Living Area
The main floor of the Siren has everything your family could want. There are closets at the front door for your guests and at the back door for the family. The expertly designed kitchen gives you plenty of counter space for cooking and cabinetry for storage. Quartz countertops and a quartz backsplash give the home a modern feel. Without an island taking up space in the middle, it has a more spacious feel. And the half bathroom on this floor is larger than the half baths in some of our other models. You won’t feel cramped in at all.
A dining nook and great room round out the rooms on this floor. With 8′ ceilings, large picture windows at the front of the home, and an open-concept design, you’ll love how airy it feels. You can just picture your family hanging out in this space throughout the year.
Second Floor Bedrooms
As with any traditional home, we’ve placed the bedrooms upstairs. All three share a bathroom that’s centrally located, so everyone can easily take advantage. The two secondary bedrooms have space-saving bi-fold doors on the closets, and windows that brighten the space up with natural light.
Your master suite sits at the front of the home with large windows, so it can get a lot of natural light as well. There’s a walk-in closet in the bedroom for you to keep your clothes, leaving the main bedroom area to hold your bedroom furniture. A small window in the closet lets in more natural light too.
Need More Space?
If you find that you need a bit more, consider finishing the basement. Doing this is going to bring the home up to about 1,500 square feet, but you’ll probably be paying much less than you would if you selected a home with a floor plan that started at 1,500 square feet. When you finish the basement, it gives you a second full bathroom with a larger tub and a nicely sized family room. You could make this a playroom for the kids or grandkids, or it could easily be a man cave or craft room for you. Let us know what you envision, and we’ll make it happen.
Make It Yours
We have pre-selected, with the help of DQ our in-house designers, 4 colour boards in popular colours and style. Choose the one you like best!
The Siren is available in three of our most popular communities: Cy Becker, Cavanagh, and Graydon Hill. Each of these locations offers easy access to the highways and to all of the amenities you need for your daily life. If you’ve been dreaming about a brand-new home with the style you could dream of at a price you can afford, this is the home for you. Come talk to one of our Area Managers about how you can make the Siren your home.
