Cy Becker and Manning Village are both in the northeastern part of the city. Naturally, people like to head to the open-air shops at the Manning Town Centre. The Castle Downs YMCA has similar facilities, and it’s a popular place for the kids to take swimming lessons. The childminding services are free here, and members are allowed to bring an unlimited number of guests.
The Clareview Rec Centre offers a unique leadership program for kids called the Nikaniw Indigenous Youth Leadership Program. Interested kids must apply and be accepted into the program. Cultural teachings are interwoven into the teaching of these practical life skills.
Finally, the Londonderry Leisure Centre has such features as waterslides in the pools and outdoor sports fields and tennis courts.
