The Philosophy Behind Our New Evolve Series
There’s been a lot of excitement about our newest Evolve line of homes, and for good reason. These homes offer many of the things that home buyers are looking for in a brand-new home without the inconveniences that might tear them away.
With our Evolve product line, our philosophy has always been about focusing on providing affordable home ownership, without compromising on quality. Put simply, we build homes that people want to buy – at a price they can afford. You’ll see this customer-centred philosophy is tied into all of our processes at Sterling.
Once you learn more about what we’re doing and why we’re doing it, we think you’ll see that an Evolve home could be the right home for you.
A Streamlined Process
One of the most important aspects behind the Evolve line is creating a streamlined home building process. Because we are so confident you will love our homes, the Evolve building process includes purchasing lots in a row, then building the row of houses in succession. This means that workers can start moving on to the next home while other professionals are starting the next stage of the home build on the previous home – creating a streamlined and efficient building process.
Faster Home Building
Clearly, this method of building homes allows us to build homes more quickly. Instead of moving workers all around the city, they’re just moving on to the next lot. For those who need a home quickly, this is a big advantage, as Evolve home purchasers are able to move in sooner. As an added bonus, because we like to have inventory available for prospective home buyers, there is a chance we have homes that are move-in ready. If you buy a home like this, you may not need to wait at all.
Better for the Environment
We also understand how concerned our customers are about the environment, and rightfully so. If builders aren’t paying attention to the natural environment, new construction can be quite damaging. We try to reduce our environmental footprint when building Evolve homes.
How? Not only is it better for the environment to build several homes in a community at once instead of driving all over the place, but shipping materials to a single location is beneficial as well.
Additionally, these homes have limited options available to make it easier to consolidate those shipping costs. You’re not sacrificing any quality at all in the materials, you just may not have quite as many colour and style choices as you have in other homes.
Budget-Friendly Options
One of the biggest advantages of our Evolve line is the cost. For a variety of reasons, the methods that we use in building our Evolve homes are more cost-efficient, and we’re able to pass those savings on to our customers. In fact, most of the homes in this line are under $400,000. Some have even been under $300,000.
This affordability is very attractive to all types of families. You’re getting a brand-new home – and the knowledge that things won’t be breaking down – at a price that easily fits the budget.
Can you make changes to an Evolve home?
To achieve our prices and savings we are passing onto buyers, we plan efficient floor plan designs, we purchase materials in bulk for economies of scale, and we simplify the construction process for efficiencies in timeline. However, the downside to the EVOLVE line, is the inability to make certain custom changes.
What you might be thinking is, “but I’m willing to pay for the change!? So why not? I don’t want this specific savings”. The best answer we can provide is this: if we make changes to one, the systemic approach we use, which includes the construction, building, and purchase processes that have been created to achieve the savings on all of our Evolve homes in Edmonton, then gets disrupted, and the gains are quickly lost.
This is why we try to be as transparent as possible when presenting the Evolve Line… because of its firm process.
For customers with upgrade requests, we typically lead them to our Advantage product line, where customers have the ability to make additional design changes to the home.
For our laned home Evolve product, Sterling provides customers the opportunity to select the interior colour chart, depending on where the home has arrived in it’s construction. For front attached garage Evolve Homes, it is possible to select your lot, your structural floor plan options, as well as your interior colour chart, depending on where the home is in the construction cycle.
These are homes that people want, and you can see the truth in that by how quickly they sell. If you’re looking for a home that’s move-in ready and affordable, you can’t go wrong with one of our Evolve homes.
We make it easier than ever for you to safely purchase a home like this. Talk to one of our Area Managers about how you can make one of these homes your own.
