Sterling currently offers a wide selection of home models in the Westerra community. Many fall under our Evolve series, which means that they come with price tags that are even more affordable than our regular line. For instance, the Revive model is a great option for investors. The main part of the home features an open-concept living area with stylish details like quartz countertops and pendant lighting. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, including a master suite and an upstairs laundry. There’s also the option of finishing the basement into a legal rental suite, allowing you to earn more money through rental income. If you’re looking for a single-family home, though, we also have styles that are right for you. The Amity model is a great choice for retirees. It’s a bungalow-style home with 2 or 3 bedrooms. For families looking for that big family home, the Jannat is over 2,600 square feet with 5 or 6 bedrooms. Nearby Convenience

When you live in Westerra, you’ll get the quiet of living in the countryside, but you don’t have to give up any of the convenience of living in the city. There are plenty of stores, restaurants, and amenities less than 10 minutes away. These include grocery stores like Shoppers Drug Mart, Safeway, and Co-Op Food Store, as well as smaller shopping centres with specialty stores. Additionally, there are other recreational areas nearby for when you want something a little bigger than what you find right in the neighbourhood. These include things like the Stony Plain Golf Course, along with a skate park, a spray park, and an outdoor pool area.

An Easy Commute

Plenty of people who live in Westerra choose the community because they already work in one of the schools, health centres, or retail stores nearby. However, many people do commute to work in the Edmonton area. From this neighbourhood, it only takes about 17 minutes to get to West Edmonton. If you’re going downtown, it will take you about 40 minutes. And it’s also about 40 minutes to the airport area. That’s not much longer than you’d spend commuting if you lived closer to the city, and you get the added bonus of living a quieter lifestyle.

Great Schools

It’s important to find a school that your child will love. Stony Plain features a few different schools that you might choose for your child. Many kids go to the High Park School, which is the closest elementary school to the Westerra community. There’s also the Stony Plain Central School. Both of these are K-9 schools, so your child will get the consistency they need to grow confidently. Best of all, the newly-built Memorial Composite High School is within walking distance of Westerra. Your teenagers can easily walk to school, which makes it easier to coordinate after-school activities. We know that there are a lot of great communities throughout Edmonton and the surrounding areas, but we think that Westerra is one of the best. However, it’s important to find the community that’s the right fit for your family.
