Habitat for Humanity
Sterling Homes is proud to support Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit that helps build homes for hundreds of families in need of safe affordable housing across northern Alberta each year. Through the Habitat Day campaign, Sterling Homes has gifted three homes to the non-profit organization. In 2018, Sterling Homes introduced Edmonton's first ever Haunted Showhome. The event features a family friendly portion in the early evening, and actors are then brought in later for those looking for an extra depth of horror. The Haunted Showhomes was a huge success, and while it was a great deal of fun, the main goal was to collect donations for both Santa's Anonymous and the Edmonton Food Bank. Thank you to each and every sponsor and attendee who helped to donate to these great organizations.

In October 2021, the warehouse storing Hope Missions winter donations was destroyed by a fire. Because these donations are critical to those Hope Mission serves, they were in dire need of immediate help. After hearing of this desperate situation, Sterling Homes employees promptly acted by starting a clothing drive in the Qualico parking lot to help replace those donations. Through their efforts, Sterling employees were able to collect over 900 winter items and necessities for those in need including 162 winter coats, 18 snow pants. 21 pairs of boots, 159 sweaters, 15 blankets, 125 toques, 81 pairs of gloves, and 307 miscellaneous items including scarves, socks, pants, and shirts.
