Laurel Crossing

Make Laurel Crossing your first stop when you want to check out showhomes in the Southeast Edmonton area. It has more showhomes than any other community in this region, and it’s nice to see these options side-by-side.

The community itself has the convenience of being close to a number of amenities, but it’s also incredibly affordable. There are playgrounds, green spaces, and even a community pond. The variety of home options here makes this a popular choice with all types of families.

The showhome at 1511 24 Street NW is based on the townhome-style Deville plan. On paper, the 1,300 square foot home sounds small, but as you walk in, you’ll instantly see how a great floor plan can make a home feel incredibly spacious. It includes many of the extras you’re looking for, such as a main floor laundry, a bench in the entryway, and an ensuite in the master bedroom. If you need more space, you can add it by finishing the basement. This home is a lovely, affordable option.

The Davinci at 1509 24 Street NW is the end building in the row of townhomes, so it has a bit more space. The laundry room on the main floor is bigger than the one in the Deville, so you’ll be able to hang out clothes that can’t go in the dryer. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a built-in nook for placing an entertainment unit, and one of the bedrooms has a built-in desk.

If you’re looking for affordability, but don’t think that a townhome is the right choice for you, check out the duplex showhome found at 9606 225 Street NW. One side is based on the Sensation floor plan. This design includes a walk-through pantry by the kitchen and built-in shelving in the living room. There’s also a laundry room upstairs and three sizeable bedrooms. We think you’ll especially like the use of colour throughout the space.

The other side of this duplex is based on the Sahara floor plan. With a dining nook and a flush eating bar at the island, you’ll know that you have plenty of space to enjoy a meal. You’ll love the look of the natural wood cabinetry in the kitchen. It really brightens the space up. On the second floor, the master ensuite includes side-by-side sinks and a privacy door for the toilet. There’s also a laundry room on this floor.

Finally, if you’ve been dreaming about a large, front-attached home, you’ll want to check out the Tanner model at 1419 29 St. NW. With over 2,000 square feet of space, you’ll enjoy some perks that you don’t see in more compact homes, such as a large mudroom at the entrance by the garage and an enormous walk-through pantry. The master suite is also extra-luxurious, with a five-piece ensuite, double rods and shelving in the walk-in closet, and an attached laundry room.

Tamarack Common

With the new Meadows Recreation Centre just across the street, it’s easy to see why Tamarack Common is a popular new community in the Southeast Edmonton area. Quiet streets, a centralized park, and easy access to all of the other amenities you want makes this a great location for any family.

Check out the massive 2,500+ square foot showhome in Tamarack Common. It’s based on the Thomas floor plan, and it has plenty of space for your family to spread out. There are benches in the foyer and mudroom, a walk-in closet for better organization at the mudroom, and a convenient walk-through pantry into the kitchen. You’ll love the fireplace in the great room – it has a beautiful stone surround and built-in shelving. Upstairs, there’s a large bonus room for your family to hang out, and the master suite has the option of having two walk-in closets. You could even decide to finish the basement as an in-law or income suite.

Orchards

The Orchards at Ellerslie is just south of Ellerslie Road, so you know that it’ll offer plenty of convenience. Everything you need is nearby, including things like farm-fresh produce. You’ll also enjoy walking trails and a strong sense of community among the neighbours.

One of Sterling’s showhomes in this community is another version of the Thomas floor plan mentioned above. Touring both versions is a good way for you to see how Sterling can modify plans to better meet your needs.

There’s also a showhome based on the Trista model. What’s especially interesting about this model is the ability to keep things simple or adjust the plans for a larger, more luxurious home. The basic floor plan of this model is 1,537 square feet, but by choosing to include a bonus room and an upgraded ensuite on the second floor, you can increase the square footage to almost 2,000 square feet. It’s nice to know you have these options.
